hario-drip-pot-woodneck
Hario Drip Pot Woodneck Coffee Brewer with Cloth Filter

The Hario Drip Pot Woodneck is a cloth-filter pour-over brewer made from borosilicate heatproof glass with an acacia wood handle, available in 240 ml and 480 ml capacities. It brews using a reusable cotton flannel filter that slows the drawdown compared to paper, producing a clean, balanced cup with more body. The pot, filter, stainless steel ring, leather string, and acacia wood components ship together as a complete set.

Slower Drawdown, Fuller Cup

The Hario Woodneck uses a cotton flannel cloth filter rather than paper. Cloth creates more flow restriction, extending the contact time between water and grounds. The result is a brew that is clean and balanced while retaining more of the oils that paper filters would absorb, a character that many pour-over enthusiasts specifically seek out in a cloth-filter brewer.

Reusable by Design

The cotton flannel filter is washable and reusable, so there is no need to stock paper filters. Rinsing the cloth filter after each brew and storing it in water in the refrigerator is standard practice for cloth-filter maintenance. The filter is part of the complete set included with the pot, so no separate purchase is needed to start brewing.

Handcrafted Materials

The pot body is borosilicate heatproof glass, which tolerates the thermal shock of hot water without the brittleness of ordinary glass. The handle and grip are acacia wood, joined by a leather string with an acacia wood string stopper and secured by a stainless steel ring. The pot and filter set are made in Japan; the leather string is made in Vietnam; the wood components are made in China.

Features

Borosilicate glass pot: heatproof construction tolerates direct hot-water contact

Cotton flannel cloth filter: reusable, hand-washable, included in the set

Acacia wood handle and grip: with leather string and stainless steel ring

Two capacity options: 240 ml and 480 ml to suit single-cup or multi-cup brewing

Complete set: pot and filter assembly ready to brew out of the box

Specifications

Specification

240 ml

480 ml

Capacity

240 ml

480 ml

Dimensions (W x D x H)

95 x 95 x 168 mm

110 x 110 x 195 mm

Pot material

Borosilicate heatproof glass

Filter material

Cotton flannel

Ring material

Stainless steel

Handle / grip / string stopper

Acacia wood

String material

Leather

Handle color option

Acacia Wood

Pot and filter origin

Made in Japan

String origin

Made in Vietnam

Wood components origin

Made in China

What is included

Pot and filter complete set

Who This Is For and Isn't

The Hario Drip Pot Woodneck suits pour-over brewers who want a cloth-filter experience: a slower drawdown, a fuller-bodied cup, and a reusable filter system without the recurring cost of paper. The 240 ml size is well matched to single-cup brewing; the 480 ml size suits two or more cups per brew.

The Woodneck is not suited to brewing methods that require a paper filter or a metal filter basket. It does not include a gooseneck kettle, a scale, or a grinder; those are sold separately. The cloth filter requires regular rinsing and proper storage between uses; brewers who prefer a zero-maintenance paper-filter routine may find cloth upkeep inconvenient.

Common Questions

What filter does the Hario Drip Pot Woodneck use, and is it included?

The Hario Drip Pot Woodneck uses a reusable cotton flannel cloth filter.
