aeropress-paper-micro-filters-xl
AeroPress Paper Micro-Filters XL

The AeroPress Paper Micro-Filters XL are biodegradable, chlorine-free paper filters custom-cut for the AeroPress XL coffee maker, delivering grit-free, low-bitterness coffee in a 200-count pack. They are not compatible with any other AeroPress model.

Cleaner Cup, Brighter Flavor

These paper micro-filters are made from ultra-thin, tightly woven white paper with micro-sized holes that stop fine coffee grounds from passing into the cup. Where a French press or metal filter lets oils and fine particles through, the paper material absorbs bitter-tasting oils, producing a cleaner, brighter result that lets the character of the bean come through. This clarity is particularly noticeable in light and medium roasts where delicate flavor notes matter most.

Custom Fit for the AeroPress XL

The filters are cut to the exact diameter of the AeroPress XL basket, which matters more than it might seem. A filter that fits precisely ensures even pressure across the full brew bed, prevents bypass around the edges, and produces consistent extraction from cup to cup. Using a filter sized for a different model risks uneven flow and grounds in the cup.

Chlorine-Free and Compostable

The paper is bleached using a non-elemental chlorine process: no chlorine gas, no dioxin byproduct, and no papery or chemical taste in the cup. After brewing, the filter and spent grounds can go directly into a compost bin. They are not compatible with the AeroPress Original, Clear, Premium, Steel, Go, or Go Plus. The XL filter is cut to a larger diameter than filters for other models, so it will not seat correctly in a different brewer.

Do these paper filters contain dioxin or chlorine?

No. AeroPress Paper Micro-Filters XL are made using a non-elemental chlorine bleaching process, which replaced the older chlorine-gas method that produced dioxin as a byproduct. The result is a white, food-safe paper filter with no dioxin and no chemical taste in the brewed coffee.

Where are AeroPress Paper Micro-Filters XL manufactured?

AeroPress Paper Micro-Filters XL are manufactured in the USA. AeroPress was founded by inventor Alan Adler in Palo Alto, California, and these filters remain part of the portion of the AeroPress product line that continues to be made in the United States.

How many filters come in a pack?

Each pack of AeroPress Paper Micro-Filters XL contains 200 filters. At one filter per brew, a single pack covers 200 cups of coffee before a replacement pack is needed.

Can the used filter and grounds be composted?

Yes. After brewing, the spent grounds and the used filter can be placed directly into a compost bin together, reducing waste compared to non-compostable filter options.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0614/3315/1709/files/AP_ACC_PaperFilter_White_XL_PDP_ATF_1.png?v=1793759034
